Cardiovascular Grand Rounds Maastricht
The Cardiovascular Grand Rounds Maastricht (CGRM), the yearly CARIM Symposium and irregular organised meetings and lectures are means to update the knowledge of our graduate students, our researchers and other external people with interest in the field of cardiovascular research. The Cardiovascular Grand Rounds Maastricht are weekly lectures organised for researchers and clinicians who work in the cardiovascular field. Click here for the upcoming lectures.
The steering committee for the Cardiovascular Grand Rounds consists of CARIM staff members of the three divisions (Heart, Vessels and Blood) and includes Renske Olie, Pieter Goossens, Rory Koenen, Blanche Schroen, Julie Staals and Kristiaan Wouters. If you have suggestions for a specific topic or speaker, please contact any of the committee members and they will assist in scheduling the lecture with you.
CARIM Scientific Symposium 2026

The 2026 CARIM Symposium will take place
on Wednesday, 25 November 2026, at Minderbroedersberg 4–6.
We are honoured to welcome Professor Andreas Greinacher, full professor and head of the department of transfusion medicine and the thrombosis and hemostasis service at the Universitätsmedizin Greifswald, Germany, as this year’s Robert Reneman Lecturer.
We are also excited to feature a keynote by, Paul Smit he gives engaging and humorous presentations on human behavior, the brain, and the science of influence, change, innovation, and collaboration.
