Dutch Translational Metabolism Conference 2021 Seminar Series - 6 May 2021
In 2020, we aimed to organize the first Dutch Translational Metabolism Conference, with(inter)national speakers from different disciplines working in the field of metabolism. The goal of this meeting was to bring together and facilitate interaction between all metabolic experts in the Netherlands, both junior and senior, who study metabolism with the ultimate aim to prevent and/or treat disease. The focus is on translational research, bridging the gap between fundamental research to application in humans and validation at the population-level.
Despite the overwhelming enthusiasm, we had to cancel the first edition of our conference because of the COVID-19 pandemic. To maintain our community through 2021, we decided to organize an online seminar series with sessions on the first Thursday of each month from 16:00-17:15 CET, with one Keynote lecture and one short talk by an early-career scientist from our community.
After excellent lectures by Prof. Johan Auwerx in February, Prof. Pam Taub in March and Prof. Leanne Hodson in April, please join us now for the fourth seminar in our 2021 on-line Seminar Series!
On May 6th, from 16:00-17:15, our keynote speaker will be Prof. Dr. Antonio Moschetta of University of Bari Aldo Moro in Italy. He will be joined by Dr. Xinwei Chang of Maastricht UMC+. You can join the seminar, which will take place on Zoom, via the link below.
Please see translationalmetabolism.nl for more information and our full list of confirmed speaker for the rest of the year!
